Craiceann on Inisheer, Bodhran Festival

Unfortunately the Craiceann Summer School 2021 and 2020 was cancelled due the Covid 19 pandemic.

The Craiceann Summer School or Bodhran Festival, which first began in 2001, returned to Inis Oírr (Inisheer) in 2019 for another great week of music making. Mícháel O’hÁlmháin who originally came up with the concept wanted to link the musical heritage of the Aran Islands with the need for improving the drumming skills of bodhran players. And so, from there a unique summer school for musical skill building was born.
