Inishmore FAQ

O’Brien Ferries Doolin provide the fastest way to get to the Aran Islands. It takes just 40 minutes to travel from Doolin to Inishmore.

Inishmore is 14 kilometres (8.5 miles) long and about 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) wide.

Yes. You may stay overnight on any of the Aran Islands. You may use your return ticket for a day trip or overnight stay.

Inishmore is quite a large island. We recommend some form of transport such as bicycle hire, mini-bus, or pony & trap tours. You can walk around Inishmore more but as it is very large you may not be able to see all of the islands highlights. See here for island transportation.

Yes. There are many restaurants, cafes and pubs for you to get food and refreshments at, including a SPAR convenient store. See here for island food & facilities.

Depart Doolin: 10:00 am | 14:30 direct     [11:00 and 13:00 sailing times make a stop over on Inisheer before then going to Inishmore]

Depart Inishmore: 11:15 | 16:00 [11:15 is for overnight, one way, and inter island tickets]
